A Fresh Start: Something New

Hey guys, I'm using this as a medium of band-related conversation and storage for lists etc simply because it's the best place for it at the moment until we have decided on a few things.

Firstly, @Matt, Rich and I had a bit of a jamming session yesterday (Tuesday 15th September) and realised that we miss the music, and the banter, and most things bad-related. So we have decided to come up with a new plan, a new 'band' and a new set list.

So, during our jamming session last night we wrote up (a rather large) list of new songs that we'd like to tackle and also thought about the thigns we want from this band and the members we'd need. We have come to the conclusion that, like last time, we simply want to play music. We do not care for gigging or making money from it, we just like to play. That being said, if offers did come in we'd be more than willing. But we are not setting out (again) for that.

This means that we must leave Syst3m 32, and most things that went with it, behind and start anew with something that we will enjoy and will be solid. The first major dilemma is going to be, just what do we name this new project? Once we have decided that I will sort out the sites and everything technical.

We have a plan for a drummer, one who may not be the best, but is a tide until (if) something better comes along. Matt, I don't know if you remember the guy who came to one of our practices in an effort to sell his amp? It turns out that (he says) he says so prior drumming knowledge and I'm sure he's keen so we'll be looking to ask him first. The only other issue then is where do we find a lead guitarist with a half decent singing voice?

As per usual, comments on this can be made in the normal way. I thought I'd better do this as a blog because it's a little easier that way.

And there you have it. There are some odd choices on there, but we feel they'll work somehow, and if they don't we can refine. If you don't any of them I'd suggest youtube, or download them if you can. I have some of them, but by no means all. And if you have anything to add you can edit the blog and add them.

Share your thoughts and ideas please, and we'll have to organise a bit of a meet to get some things finalised.

First things first... our main agenda is coming up with a new name!

something a bit different to play with anyway, in the cold harsh light of day i'm not sure about matt but feel free to ask him in a few weeks if we sort a few bits out. If i get chance i'll try and put that list together into either mp3's or youtube playlist and put it some place or other so we can atleast have a listen

Actually, I created a page on this site to post playlists for youtube etc. so we could stick it there so us guys can see.

I've now got a full list of MP3's but it's like 160MB so can't just stick it on the site, will get it to y'all somehow!
