Practice, Venue And General Awesomeness!
Submitted: 2008-04-04 08:02:06 (Updated: 05-04-2008)
So, last night saw the first practice of the full band of Syst3m 32 and it went very very well indeed. The general process consisted of us playing through a couple of the older songs to warm up and get a feel for the sound and the drums. The new material we worked on generally sounded really good, although there are of course a few kinks to iron out here and there, but we're definitely impressed and rather excited about the songs we played.
Maxwell did an awesome job on the drums, considering he doesn't really know the songs at the moment or the style that Syst3m 32 play to. But he did really well and we've finally got the 'full band' sound that has been missing since we started the band.
There are hopefully going to be some new pictures to add to the site so we can get Maxwell on, and we'll stick up some of the practice photos that were taken last night if we can. We didn't manage to get round to any recording, but we're going to be looking at doing that in a couple of weeks once we've arranged the tracks we're going to record and got them completely sounding spot on. Watch this space as we will be letting you all kno when the new songs are available!
We also had some possibly good news at the mention of a new venue to do out practicing at, which is good considering the imminent closure of The Musicians Co-op, which will be such a shame because it is pretty much the only place in the area that does what it does, so thanks to Maxwell for his part in this!
Okay ladies and gentlemen, some of the images that were taken at the practice session are now available in the gallery pages of the site so head there and take a look at Syst3m 32 rocking out!

*ahem* anyone else seem to think there were a few more pictures of alexander taken? Cos I'm pretty sure there were!!!
Geraint Evans
I'm sure there were considering who the snapper was. All photos have been uploaded by FTP to the site so if any one wants a copy, help yourselves.
Alex Hall
Actually, they aren't FTP available anymore because someone uploaded the full on 1 meg per file files, so I've taken them down and optimised them. If anyone wants them all I can upload the optimised images as a zip for you. Just let me know
Laura Unsworth
Actually, there were quite a few pictures of Alex because he's the only person who ever actually looked at the camera (and he tended to stand in the way any time I was trying to take pictures!
Alex Hall
I did not... I was just jumping around a little too much that I was everywhere at once so it was only gonna be likely that I got in the way.
No pics of me... all gone!

Practice was ace last night and I second everything Alex says above - it's certainly getting there... One other thing I'd like to add is that I am broken after unleashing last nights rock apocalypse.
