Aura

"An Aura of Calm" came from something Alex said. He was having difficulty getting a song together so I asked him how he was feeling and to write a song about . He said he was in an 'Aura of Calm' and I thought, 'I can use that' shamelessly nicked the phrase and wrote the song. I've been asked if it's about drugs as it refers to,"take my arm" and "crack" but it's more just about addiction. Anything can be addictive, sweets, exercise, guitar playing. What the addiction is isn't always unhealthy but addiction itself is a bad thing as it can rule your life. It's when your first thought in the morning turns to the addiction, it's when you feel that you can't manage without something. That's your independance and freedom out of the window.
